Who am I?
Alright! I'm Luke, a bass guitarist and musician, passionate about live music performance and popular music history.
Graduating with a First Class (Hons) in Music Performance from the University of Northampton back in 2014, I've committed myself to being a versatile all-rounder, open to any opportunities to perform with other like-minded individuals!
Having extensively gigged the tribute band scene with the incredible Absolute Stone Roses and The Madchester Experience, I have traveled across the UK performing to thousands of people at well over 500 shows gaining a wealth of experience with live performance, and the challenges that inevitably arise!
I pride myself on my ability to deconstruct music and strip it back to its core elements in order to thoroughly understand the relationships between instruments, melody and space. This skill has proved invaluable with my work within a tribute band, and influences the way in which I approach new music from a performer perspective. Understanding song structure through bar counting and repetition has always come easy to me, which has in turn allowed me to confidently approach learning new music.
I've always been keen to teach and share my passion about music with others, be it through one-to-one instrument tuition, or through academic discussion about music over the last century (and beyond!). I'm a fast learner who's meticulously organised and professional. Please feel free to give me a shout to learn more about me and how we can collaborate further!
